What exactly do you mean with “latest build”? In the Insider program or just the latest windows updates? It seems that the synaptics touchpad driver is a little quirky, In order to make it work you also have to uninstall any touch pad drivers that were installed in your windows 8 era, then obtain the latest version version through your laptop support site, or the synaptics download page. This I was about to tell and also ask the same question. Cortana is default. Tap with 4 fingers. Works perfectly fine on my SP3. Ha nice! Well thanks to this article and your comment my productivity with windows 10 just increased insanely! Use 4 fingers :D. You choose which one you want. Cortana is the default.
Try tapping with 4 fingers at the same time. Action Center by default is a 4 finger tap. Cortana can also be called out by swiping your finger left from the right edge touchpad.
Tap the touchpad with four fingers. You can also tap the touchpad with four fingers to bring up the action centre.

They should have gestures for touchscreens like two finger swipe up or down changes brightness etc. Switch between open windows: Place three fingers on the touchpad and swipe right or left. Open Cortana: Tap three fingers on the touchpad. Open action center: Tap four fingers on the touchpad.

Windows 10 has great touchpad gestures if you happen to have a precision touchpad. One of the gestures allows you to switch between virtual desktops. If you use a mouse instead of a touchpad and would like to switch virtual desktops with mouse gestures, you need a free app called StrokeIt. Before you set the mouse gestures up, you should close all virtual desktops so that you only have one desktop.
This is necessary so that you can record the hotkey that the gesture will execute. Download , install, and run the app. You will see a long list of pre-added gestures. Right-click the newly added action and select Rename from the context menu. We will need to add two different actions.
One for switching to the desktop on the left, and one for switching to the desktop on the right. Name the first action Left Desktop, or something similar. When you select this new action, you will see a gestures section on the right. Open the dropdown and select the gesture you want to use to switch to the desktop on the left.
We used the Left gesture. Click Add Gesture. You will obviously have to give it a different name e.
