The OneDrive sync client provides Files On-Demand , which allows you to access all your files in SharePoint without using up local storage space. By default, the View in File Explorer menu option will not be visible to you or users in the SharePoint modern document library interface.

In certain cases, organizations may still need to use View in File Explorer to access modern document libraries. In your browser, on your SharePoint site, navigate to the library of files you want to sync with.
