I had done the same thing as you did, keep computer on for one week or so But unfortunately My notebook suddenly went blackscreen, and I didn’t shut it down before As an update, still having the same problem. So now, when my laptop sleeps or hibernates, I unplug the charger and plug back in. This will work until someone figures out what the problem truly is.

Computer would not power up. I changed the CMOS battery and laptop would power up, but when shut down would not restart. My short-term solution of unplugging power, removing laptop battery and Cmos battery then plugging power back in, started the pc and I have not turned it off since then. It is definitely not a motherboard problem since all is working properly once power is restored.
