After the update to Windows 10 -when I try to print in any app or run a test page I get the error message, “Communication Not Available. Printer worked fine before the update which seems to have a number of problems.
The port is correct and printer is recognized and shows “Ready. I am using Windows Defender firewall. I called Lexmark. They say the printer is compatible with Win 10, as I know since I was using it before the update, and that the driver for Windows 7 and 8.

I am guessing the manufacturer has discontinued support for it. I have tried the above and nothing works, After the latest update I get the communication Not available error.
Hey everyone! Don’t buy a new printer! I have the same problem as stated above and had done all that was suggested above, with no lexmark driver windows 10. I ordered a new printer on Amazon last night sigh.

The support option on Lexmark installer has the remove software and used that. I could not figure out to how to uninstall and saw the uninstall program in the driver folders it makes but it would not work. Disconnected usb cable and ran Lexmarks 8. Did that and it prompted to lesmark in the usb and did that and it found the lexmark driver windows 10 and installed and printed test page.
